Which one will it be? The blue pill? Or the red pill?
Hey…Psst… Yea, you there. What if I told you, I could help you unleash powers within yourself that you never knew existed? What if I told you, I could write you a “cookbook” filled with recipes, recipes to break you out of your shell, your chains that stop you from being extraordinary, being special, being inhuman……at least to a certain degree? The path in which I lead you to, will change you in many ways. You’ll behave differently, think differently, love differently, and most importantly, believe differently. What I’m about to share with you is not for the “weak of heart”, and definitely not for the weak of mind. I will make you question the things around you, things you dare not question, things you feel uncomfortable to even doubt in life. So read on, if you’re willing to break down your inner security, perception, even your belief system to unleash the powers suppressed within you.
Our mind, imprisoned…
Let’s take a step (or two) way back to our childhood. We are at the phase where we know almost nothing, but we also question everything. Sure, most of the time, our parents would have answers for things like: “What are clouds made of?”, “Why must I eat vegetables?”, “How do elephants drink water?”,”When can I start sleeping at 10 instead of 8?”. What if you asked your parents: “Why are there countries and borders?”,”Why is it that college is the only path to success?”, “Why do I only believe in one religion? Why not two or three? Why not all?”. The answers you’ll get will be along the lines of: “Because it is how it is.”, “Because I said so.”, “Because it’s wrong to think otherwise”. From an age where our rate of learning is at its maximum, we are fed with “shortcut answers” that seek to answer the questions that are difficult or uncomfortable to reconsider. No doubt, it simplifies life when we answer these questions in such way. We’ll stop thinking about it for the rest of our lives because it’s how it’s meant to be. We won’t question them anymore, instead we’ll focus our thinking towards earning that degree, getting that dream job with a five-figured salary, thinking of solutions to global warming, economical crisis, feuds between countries and peace treaties. These “answers” are passed down through generations and tribes for millennia. They create a framework or system that simplifies our way of life, a habit acquired to handle challenges and obstacles, a culture to perceive the world in a certain way.
What we don’t realize is that things that oversimplify our thinking, actually omit the important details that shape our human nature, the inquisitive and ever-questioning attitude that lead to the evolution of mankind. We are fed with “shortcut answers” by parents, peers, authority, celebrities, religious leaders, media, and political power that rob us of our sense of discovery to question the details of life. Day by day, year by year, decade by decade, century by century, millennium by millennium, our mind and perception is layered by culture and belief systems that promote the norm. To break free of the ordinary and become extraordinary, we must remove ourselves from the confines of the ordinary.
Opening the Third Eye of the mind
Culture is the sum of actions and attitude that comes from the way people respond to the environment at the time. It is the system of living that is passed down to generations that come after. Now, pay attention to how culture is defined. Notice the phrase, at the time. That’s right, culture is not something to be kept rigid up till the last of humanity. We do not live in their time, we live in our time. Water that constantly flows stays fresh, stays clean, stays healthy. Stagnant water is unhealthy and spoiled water. The same could be said about culture. Culture must flow with time, age, and era. Culture reflects how the people of the time respond to an environment, how we respond to the environment of our era. We are creating new culture as humanity progresses. Old and obsolete cultures and rules should not be applied in a modern age if they are not suitable.
The key towards unleashing your hidden potential and being inhuman, different from the average human of today, is to understand that culture is not forced upon us, especially if it limits our possibilities. See the world as a matrix, webbed by strings and strands of rules that tell you what to do, what to believe, how you should believe. These are all things that are up for doubt, always ready to be modified and improved to your own personal growth. The moment of time when you start to decode and question things you do not question, you start to realize that many of the rules that are wired into you serve you no beneficial purpose, or even bring you disadvantage.
I want you to choose and create your own culture, to look within the many systems of belief and extract your own set of rules, create your own system of living. “I can achieve success without a college degree”, “Eating beef is not taboo”, “Eating chicken is taboo”, “Vegetarianism is an unhealthy eating habit”, “I can marry anyone of any ethnic background”, “Digi isn’t always the smartest choice”, “I can be a Pastafarian”, “All religions are just different ways of connecting to God”, “There is no God”. Remove the barrier of taboo from your thinking, let the mind flow in the infinite expanse of the multiverse. Once your mind is limitless, your abilities will indeed become limitless.
“When you grow up you tend to get told that the world is the way it is and your life is just to live your life inside the world. Try not to bash into the walls too much. Try to have a nice family life, have fun, save a little money. That’s a very limited life. Life can be much broader once you discover one simple fact: Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you. And you can change it, you can influence it… Once you learn that, you’ll never be the same again.” – Steve Jobs
